Relationship corner | Gospel star Cece Winans speaks up

In an interview with David M. Wallace, gospel Star Cece Winans opens up a bit on her view about gospel relationships. She also went further to admonish Christian homes not to give up on God in their homes. She advised that no matter how though things tend to go in their relationship, always run back to God, cos he instituted marriage.

CeCe: Put God first, because honoring God will remind you how to honor others and you will be able to give the way God called you to give. Also, treat people how you want to be treated, especially your spouse. The balance is having order and prioritizing. It’s easy to put things before God, because you have to make a living, but your job can’t come before God. Make sure your marriage and your mate is more important than anything else. It’s easy to put your spouse 3rd or 4th, but you can’t do that, God will honor you when things are in order. It’s been a challenge, but it’s something I didn’t compromise on. Everybody knew that God was first in my life and my husband was second and here we are 32 years later. God has been faithful and marriage is big, for it teaches you how to be selfless and to work as one.

Gospel singers are maltreated in Nigeria | Adegoke laments

In a brief chat with Potpourri, Adegoke who just recently released a single, Onise Iyanu, featuring his wife, Favour Adeyemi, explained that gospel music in Nigeria is worthwhile but gospel singers need to understand what gospel music is about. “I think it is important we understand what gospel music is. I will rather say that gospel music in Nigeria is worthwhile but with its own challenges. One of the challenges is that we have a lot of people who do not understand that being a gospel singer is a calling and not just a hubby.
