Amaka popularly known as Chioma Jesus, was born in the poor district of Lagos but the absence of wealth didn’t deter her from developing her talent. Chioma’s parent are from the south-eastern Nigeria Igbo tribe, which make Chioma an Igbo woman however the first gospel song Chioma ever released was written in the Yoruba language. Her music ministry blossomed during her days at The Scripture Union (SU) Fellowship where she served as a minor chorus leader and sang without the use of musical accomplishments or instruments. Her Pastor at the time encouraged her to develop her talent and helped in enrolling her in the College of Music. Overtime, Chioma learned English which increased her opportunities in gospel music industry as an artist.
