      Its no longer news that Uyo based gospel boss Mr. Obongama Esenowo has finally tied the knot with his long time friend. The wedding which finally held on Saturday the 1st day of the month of September 2018 at Channel of Blessing Christian Church Calabar, brought lots of hope to those in attendance(mostly singles). At the wedding, gospel boss Obongama gave a very touching testimony of how he met his lovely bride.
 He said;
"We met 15 years ago in a youth camp meeting organized by Qua Iboe Church/United Evangelical Church Lagos state. I was leading prayers while she was in the crowd. According to her, She was touched or you could say amazed by the young boy who was leading prayers in a state youth camp passionately and he was also a pronounce figure in the state youth choir. That's how our friendship began. Though we met once in a very long while due to distance, we always shared Scriptures and other moral values together over the phone. Infact we were like brother and sister always praying for each other without any thought of marriage since we were both young. Then in 2005/2006 I got admitted in the university of calabar into Pre -Degree program while she was still in Lagos. I joined The Pre- degree Christian Campus fellowship (PCCF) served humbly in the choir and after the program I was admitted into mathematics /Statistics dept. Meanwhile we were still communicating closely, She was always there to encourage me knowing that I had to survive in school through so many challenges. I join Jesus Student's Outreach (JESOR) where I served in various offices as Evangelism /follow up secretary, Bible study cord, music director and finally Joint Christian Campus Fellowship (JCCF) Mass Choir Director. In 2009 she got admission into the Pre -degree program ,though she wrote jamb and got admission through jamb to study Genetics and Biotechnology. While in PCCF, She was made the Vice -President (mama) of the fellowship, she grew in her love for God and in Service. She joined the Student Christian Movement (SCM) where she served as Bible study Cord, fellowship Vice-president and finally as Joint Christian Campus Fellowship (JCCF) Daniel's Generation Cord with an excellent and outstanding delivery of more than seven successful Students Union Government (SUG) candidates, Team of Ajang Emmanuel led Exco of 2014/2015. The relationship kept growing better and stronger and funny enough she didn't go out with someone else. I left for service without any assurance of marriage and we kept the relationship close and spiritual as usual meanwhile I had so many young and beautiful female friends coupled with the fact that I'm into music. I was made the state music director for the TRANSCO set in Nigeria Christian Corpers Fellowship (NCCF) Niger State 2012/2013. Though the many challenges we still kept communicating. And then I got back from service and we had to meet. After praying and praying, trusting God to hear Him for myself regardless of what everyone was saying, I finally got my conviction and then I told her about it formally, she smiled as one who had know all the while and then said yes. We sought counsel from our 'spiritual' parents and family and here we are today." 

       Mr Obongama was a one time music director of PCCF-UNICAL and also music director of the Joint Christian Campus Fellowship, University Of Calabar chapter, and he's currently serving and blessing lives through his great musical prowess at the Insight Bible Church Uyo.
